GAINESVILLE, Fla., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Exactech , a developer and producer of bone and joint restoration products including orthopaedic implants and biologic materials, will make a presentation Feb. 13 at First Albany Capital's Second Annual Small Cap Orthopedic Conference. The conference, which is prior to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) annual meeting in San Diego, Calif., will explore the current state of orthopaedics and emerging technologies within the small cap and mid cap sector.
The First Albany conference will feature 40 private and public small cap orthopaedic companies, presenting throughout the day. Exactech Chairman and CEO Dr. William Petty will deliver the presentation.
Exactech's presentation at the First Albany conference will precede the AAOS annual meeting Feb. 14 - 18. The company will host surgeons and financial community analysts at its exhibit Wednesday, Feb. 14, through Friday, Feb. 16.
Exactech will introduce new products at the exhibit, including the Optetrak(R) Unicondylar knee system, Low Profile Instrumentation(TM) and a new Ligament Balancing System. Extensions to the Novation(TM) comprehensive hip system and a preview of the Equinoxe(TM) reverse shoulder system, which is currently pending FDA clearance, are also among the featured implants. Exactech's booth will also feature a new Engineering Excellence Laboratory. Hands-on exhibits will demonstrate the excellent patellar tracking that the Optetrak(R) knee system provides for both male and female patients. Other simulations compare the potential range of motion provided by Exactech's hip stems and demonstrate the load-sharing capacity and enhanced site retention of Exactech's biologic materials. "The Truth About Polyethylene" will be explored through a video tour of state-of-the-art manufacturing and examination of knee tibial insert retrievals.
