KANEOHE, Hawaii, April 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- DrTung's was a winner of this year's GREEN GOOD DESIGN AWARD, a world-renowned design prize awarded by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. The winning product, DrTung's Activated Charcoal Floss, won in the GREEN PRODUCT/GRAPHIC DESIGN category. Now in its 68th year, GOOD DESIGN® is one of the most prestigious awards programs organized worldwide. It was founded in 1950 by such pioneers in modern design as Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson and Eero Saarinen.
DrTung's Activated Charcoal Floss with its eco-friendly, plastic-free paperboard package—which is itself the floss dispenser—was one of only 32 worldwide winners in the heavily contested GREEN PRODUCT/GRAPHIC DESIGN category!
"This is a tremendous honor, especially since this innovative product was recently awarded another international award—the 2019 iF DESIGN AWARD—by a 67-member jury," said Colin Davis, CEO and Founder of DrTung's. "Our ultimate goal is to provide more effective, extraordinary oral care products that contribute to improved overall health, enhanced well-being and a happier balance in life, with the smallest possible environmental footprint."
More information about DrTung's Activated Charcoal Floss, which is PTFE-free, can be found in the 2019 WINNERS section of the GREEN GOOD DESIGN AWARDS.
