MIAMI, June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Cordis Corporation and ClearStream Technologies Group, plc, announced today that the two companies have signed a definitive agreement whereby Cordis will distribute ClearStream’s most advanced percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) balloon catheter, which Cordis will market under the name CRESCENDO(TM) PTCA Balloon Dilation Catheter. The companies expect the CRESCENDO(TM) Balloon will be commercially available by the end of third quarter of this year. It will be available in all countries except the United States, Japan and Canada.

The CRESCENDO(TM) Balloon will feature an atraumatic flexible soft tip, which is designed to allow for ease of use and increased safety. With its unique design, the CRESCENDO(TM) Balloon also enhances guidewire trackability and reduces the risk of vessel injury.
