SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cell Genesys, Inc. (NASDAQ:CEGE) today reported financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2008. The company reported a net loss of $13.3 million ($0.15 per fully diluted share), for the fourth quarter of 2008, compared to a net loss of $33.4 million ($0.43 per fully diluted share) for the corresponding period in 2007. The net loss for the year ended December 31, 2008 was $47.0 million ($0.56 per fully diluted share), compared to a net loss of $99.3 million ($1.39 per fully diluted share) for the year ended December 31, 2007.
