Local venture capital firm Polaris Partners has started to raise its seventh fund, reports Fortune’s Dan Primack.
The firm is aiming to raise around $400 million, which would be a small increase from Polaris’s sixth fund of $375 million, raised back in 2011. It’s still a far smaller sum than Polaris’s $1 billion fifth fund of 2005 and $900 million fourth fund of 2001, however, according to Primack.
