AT LEAST ten biotech and healthcare companies are finalising plans to list in London in the next few weeks amid signs that the sector is finally finding favour with City institutions. The busy pipeline includes international companies looking to take advantage of AIM’s fast-track listing process, as well as larger businesses valued at more than £500 million. Companies close to listing include Hutchison Chinese Medicine Investment (HCMI), a subsidiary of the Hong Kong-based Hutchison Whampoa conglomerate; Entelos, a specialist biotech firm based in the US; and XCounter, a Swedish X-ray machine manufacturer.
