Bausch is cutting jobs but others are hiring too! Check it out! (Isn’t it tempting?)
Management at the Bausch & Lomb plant in Waterford has warned staff it may be forced to close the entire operation with the loss of all 1,100 jobs if substantial cost reductions are not implented immediately. The contact lens maker, which is one of the largest employers in the southeast, is seeking up to 200 redundancies and pay cuts of 20 per cent for the remaining staff as a pre-requisite for keeping the plant open. In a statement today, it said discussions with staff and union representatives on the cost-cutting proposals will begin next Tuesday and that it hoped to reach a resolution by June 17th.
Don’t forget, hundreds of biopharma companies are hiring! (We know you can’t resist.)
