TCT: Differences in outcomes of Cypher vs. PTCA still not CRISTAL Clear

CB -- The use of a Cypher Select stent (Cordis) compared to percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) produced similar results in regard to late lumen loss in patients treated for restenosis; however, the Cyper stent trumped PTCA for levels of follow-up in minimum lumen diameter (MLD), acute gain and net gain, according to the results of the late-breaking CRISTAL trial presented Sept. 25 at the 22nd annual Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) scientific symposium.
