NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. … July 20, 2015 … Strategic Medical, an operator of nine diagnostic imaging centers throughout Orange County, Calif., announced today it is the recipient of a silver award for Maverick of the Year - Consumer Services Industries and two bronzes; one for Executive of the Year - Health Products & Services and the other for Woman of the Year.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S. are eligible to submit entries including public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. More than 3,300 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration across 200+ categories in this year’s competition.
Strategic Medical’s President and Chief Executive Officer Antony Clarke was recognized in the Maverick of the Year and Executive of the Year categories for his role in leading the Company to its recent merger with MemorialCare, a leading Orange County health system, of which Strategic Medical became part in 2014. Maureen Khamsi, Strategic Medical’s Vice President of Marketing and Operations was acknowledged for her efforts alongside Clarke, helping solidify the merger to ensure a seamless integration for patients and referral sources.
“We are pleased that the judges in this prominent competition recognized the efforts of our Company during 2014, the latter part of which was a complete transitionary period for us. As a diagnostic imaging operator in a massively changing healthcare arena, we worked diligently to partner with a health system that also remained true to the core values of patient care and to creating a culture that breeds quality and excellence. This merger was our focus for 2014, and we are honored that the judges recognized the importance of our transition and mission,” Clarke said.
The 2015 American Business Awards are presented at two awards events. The first was held on Monday, June 22nd, 2015 in Chicago, and the second program, will be held on Friday, September 11th in San Francisco.
More than 250 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the finalists and Stevie Award winners.
