WASHINGTON, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Rod Turner will soon join America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) as Vice-President of Product Policy. Turner, currently with American Republic Insurance Company, will manage AHIP’s policy development for individual health, small group, supplemental, disability income and long-term care insurance.
“Rod has a wealth of experience in the policy issues critical to America’s health insurance plans,” said AHIP President and CEO Karen Ignagni, “and I am confident he will offer us the knowledge and insights necessary to advance a health care system characterized by consumer choice, product flexibility and innovation.”
Turner, a veteran of more than twenty-five years in the insurance industry, is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Currently the Vice President of Government and Industry Affairs at American Republic Insurance Company, Turner has managed a variety of health insurance product lines during his career.
American Republic, a member of AHIP, is based in Des Moines, Iowa.
Turner will assume his new duties with America’s Health Insurance Plans later this month.
