Robert E. Greenwood Joins Hospital & Healthsystem Association

HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) today announced the appointment of Capitol Hill veteran Robert E. Greenwood as Vice President, Health Care Finance and Insurance, effective January 18.

“Bob’s experience in the legislative and executive branches of state government will be a huge asset to Pennsylvania’s hospitals,” said HAP President and CEO Carolyn F. Scanlan. “His knowledge of government, the budgetary process, and health care will enhance our advocacy efforts for our hospitals and their patients in the regulatory and legislative arenas.”

From 2002-2004, Greenwood was executive director of the state House Appropriations Committee. From 1995-2001, he was deputy budget secretary under Governors Ridge and Schweiker.

Greenwood holds an M.B.A. from Wilkes University and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Delaware. He has also completed the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
