NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 5, 2005--Outpatient Imaging Affiliates, LLC (“OIA”) today announced that it has formed a joint venture, University Imaging Specialists, LLC, with Kernan Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Hospital, part of the University of Maryland Medical System and the University of Maryland Diagnostic Imaging Specialists, P.A. (“DISPA”), the radiology department of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. University Imaging Specialists, LLC was formed to develop and operate a freestanding diagnostic imaging facility located on the Kernan Hospital campus. The Center will provide MR, CT and other outpatient diagnostic services to Baltimore-area physicians and patients. OIA will provide development, management and billing services to the joint venture.
