Olympus Medical Systems announced November 19 that it will launch the VISERA LTF TYPE VP, an ultra-thin, flexible laparo-thoraco videoscope, in February 2005. The videoscope, 5.4mm in outer diameter, allows the scope tip to curve in every direction, enabling minimally invasive endoscopic surgery.
