Mercer University Researcher Bringing Prosthetics to Developing Countries

Atlanta Business Chronicle -- Dr. Ha Van Vo witnessed firsthand the difficulties amputees face while he was growing up as a young boy in Vietnam. Each year, more than 2,000 Vietnamese children are injured by unexploded weapons from the Vietnam War and an estimated 100,000 amputees live in Vietnam today. Of the more than 18 million amputees around the world, about 80 percent of those live in developing countries.
