George Barry, chief executive officer of Mediware, said first quarter performance was affected by hospital scheduling delays, causing several key orders to roll over into future quarters. "This is the kind of quarter-to- quarter lumpiness of order flow we previously indicated could occur, especially during periods of heavy new product marketing activity," he said. "Our new product introductions in the pharmacy and blood banking divisions are being well received and we remain optimistic about analysts' forecasts for the current quarter," he added.
