HOUSTON, June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Healthlink Incorporated, a Houston-based, privately held, provider-focused healthcare information systems consulting firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Lindsey Jarrell, II, to the position of Executive Vice President, Southeast Region, effective immediately.

Mr. Jarrell, who has been with Healthlink for more than six years, has extensive experience in the areas of healthcare information technology strategic planning, process improvement, management engineering, and the implementation of large-scale technology solutions. He has served as a technology leader in various consulting roles to executives of many health systems across the country, with a focus on realizing the benefits of implementing systems and managing the costs of complex technology environments.

Mr. Jarrell's appointment coincides with exceptional growth across all Healthlink regions and with the addition of several other strategic executive positions. Ms. Kahn, who comes to Healthlink from The Trizetto Group, Inc., in Newport Beach, Calif., as Director of Provider Client Services, has more than 25 years' experience managing operations, finance, and information technology business units in hospitals, medical centers, physician practices, and technology organizations. Tom Cooke joins Healthlink as Client Services Vice President for the Northeast, focusing on the MidAtlantic area, from his former position at the Cerner Corporation where he was responsible for national sales of outcome measurements and clinical resource planning. Mr. Cooke has been in healthcare and solutions management and sales for more than 20 years. Dan Stoke, who has held several business development positions over the past five years with Healthlink, will take on the role of Vice President of Business Development for the West Region.

"We are very pleased with these appointments," said Ivo Nelson, President and CEO of Healthlink. "Not only are they a positive reaction to significant growth across the company, but also a reflection of responsiveness to our customer base, assuring customers that we will continue to provide quality service in the face of extraordinary growth.

"Lindsey Jarrell is an excellent choice as Executive Vice President for the Southeast Region," said Mr. Nelson. "In his six years with Healthlink, Lindsey has shown the ability to apply his extensive skills and experience to a broad range of projects including strategic planning, process redesign, and interim management."

"The Vice President positions for Client Services and Business Development are crucial at a time of growth for Healthlink," said Dana Sellers, Chief Operating Officer of Healthlink.
