HACKENSACK, N.J., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GoAmerica, Inc. today announced that it has purchased the assets of Global Interactive, an Emerson, New Jersey-based provider of wireless products, services, and accessories, for approximately $375,000 in cash and stock. GoAmerica expects to recognize revenue contribution from this transaction immediately.

Alan Cohnen, President of Global Interactive, has joined GoAmerica and will undertake expanding GoAmerica’s wireless sales efforts and distribution channels. Cohnen built Global Interactive’s business by executing a successful wireless product strategy and by developing and launching a line of accessories, distributed online through http://www.gi-llc.com/, including the proprietary BerryPac(TM) product for users of popular RIM wireless handhelds.
