Gaumard Scientific To Showcase Trauma HAL, The Battlefield Trauma Patient Simulator, At I/ITSEC 2014

MIAMI, Nov. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaumard Scientific Company today announced it will showcase Trauma HAL and Pediatric HAL at I/ITSEC 2014, which will take place Dec. 1-5 in Orlando, Fla. The HAL products were engineered to address the educational needs of medical personnel as they train to treat injuries that occur in emergency situations, including:

  • Traumatic injuries resulting from Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and explosives (CBRNe)
  • Medical problems related to the airway and lungs
  • Cardiac and related circulatory system issues

Trauma HAL is a rugged and resilient simulator with durability proven by independent testing in hot and cold conditions, wet and dry environments, and on board military aircraft. HAL's fully tetherless technology allows the communications, compressor, and power supply components to be placed inside the simulator body, eliminating the need for external tubes, wires and compressors. This design innovation, which was pioneered by Gaumard, enables the most realistic, flexible training scenarios for simulator users.

John Eggert, Gaumard's executive vice president, said: "Exhibiting at I/ITSEC is an opportunity to showcase how necessary Trauma HAL and the HAL line-up are for medical emergency preparedness training. Gaumard's first products were designed for the battlefield. This tradition continues with our latest innovations. Trauma HAL, our newest addition to the HAL family, was designed to help medical personal to save lives when on the field. We based Trauma HAL on our passion for continuous improvement and perfected the use of scenarios by listening to our customers and challenging our engineering team to take that next step forward."
