Effective Aug. 1, EAO's role was expanded to serve as consultant for VNACJ's medical and dental benefits, as well as retirement benefits and employee life insurance. EAO formerly had responsibility for VNACJ's retirement benefits.
EAO's role is to negotiate with carriers and provide employees with regular updates. It also offers a benefits help line to answer employee questions, says Lou Amato, principal and health systems practice leader.
