PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL IMPACT OF INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE
Up to one million Americans are living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The cause of these serious chronic illnesses is unknown, but children and adults who experience painful inflammation of the digestive tract, face physical and emotional challenges daily. And, despite the development of promising medications, a cure does not exist.
