credentis Release: Successful Launch Of CURODONT D’SENZ At The Swiss Dental Hygienist Conference

Today credentis has launched its new product CURODONT™ D’SENZ, optimised for the treatment of dentine hypersensitivity. In connection with the launch, the clinical study performed at the Prophylaxe Zentrum Zürich with principle investigator Prof. Dr. Ulrich P. Saxer has been presented. The data show that CURODONT™ D’SENZ when applied before dental hygiene treatment makes the treatment more pleasant for the patient and easier for the hygienist. In addition, CURODONT™ D’SENZ decreases the dentine hypersensitivity for more than 80% of the patients. CURODONT™ D’SENZ is the result of numerous feedbacks credentis has received over the past year, saying that CURODONT™ PROTECT when applied before treatment allows a more pleasant dental cleaning. “I am confident that both patients and hygienists will benefit from using CURODONT™ D’SENZ”, says Prof. Saxer.

About Curodont™ and the Curolox™ Technology

The patented Curolox® Technology is based on peptides self-assembling into a 3-dimensional matrix, triggering biomimetic mineralisation and repair. The core technology is the basis for all innovative credentis products.

Curodont™ Repair provides dentists with a non-invasive option for natural mineralisation rather than classical repair of carious lesions. Applied to an early lesion, Curodont™ Repair forms a scaffold within the lesion to allow new hydroxyapatite (tooth mineral) crystals to form and grow. Ideally, the lesion will mineralise within several weeks. This effect is observed in a growing number of patients both in clinical studies and daily practice settings. Curodont™ Repair shows tremendous potential in the treatment of early dental caries.

Curodont™ Protect uses the Curolox® Technology to protect the tooth surface from acid attack.

Curodont™ D’Senz is optimised for the treatment of dentine hypersensitivity, to be used before dental hygiene treatment or in conjunction with tooth bleaching.

With its regenerative product line, credentis supports the trend towards prevention and early treatment. The ultimate goal is to prevent caries through the use of its regenerative solutions and frequent recalls by dentists and hygienists.
