Peacock has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective August 8, 2005. Mr. Peacock most recently served as President and CEO of Adolor Corporation and is the former CEO, COO or CFO of several healthcare companies, including Centocor, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson; Cephalon, Inc.; and Orthovita, Inc. The Little Clinic operates and manages walk-in neighborhood medical clinics in retail locations where certified nurse practitioners diagnose and treat select common family illnesses using defined medical protocols.
The Little Clinic, which was acquired by Solera Capital in February 2005 and has operated as FastCare since its founding in 2003, today also announced its new corporate name. The Little Clinic brand name, which will soon be implemented across the company’s current locations, is intended to convey the company’s focus on high-quality professionalism, family appeal, and personal and attentive nature of its health care services. The facilities offer services to patients twelve months or older for an average price of less than $50. The clinics operate extended hours, including evenings and weekends, and also have on-call physician available at all times.
The Little Clinic health centers today are located in certain Kroger supermarkets in the Louisville, Kentucky area. The company is opening several new facilities in Midwest locations with Kroger and expects to expand rapidly in other corporate, community and retail sites. This growth will be supported by a comprehensive marketing effort.
