Aeon Scientific, a Swiss firm, is developing a magnetic catheter steering system for precise manipulation of minimally invasive ablation tools within the heart. The goal of the company is to release a device considerably smaller than existing systems that works with today’s commonly used bi-planar fluoroscopes. The system will be capable of precisely navigating the catheter and pushing it against cardiac tissue during ablation.
