The baby teeth children hide under their pillows for the mythical tooth fairy may one day be used to extract stem cells for life-saving treatments, Australian scientists said Sunday. Infant teeth have been identified as a valuable source of the master cells and much easier to obtain than controversial embryonic stem cells, said researchers from the Hanson Institute at South Australia’s Royal Adelaide Hospital.
