DEERFIELD, Ill., May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Astellas Pharma US, Inc. ("Astellas") recently hired Walt Johnston as vice president of marketing. Reporting directly to Patrick Shea, senior vice president of marketing & sales, Johnston will be responsible for leading all strategic marketing activities for on market and development products for the United States business.

Most recently he was accountable for driving sales initiatives for Lipitor and Caduet. Mr. Johnston earned his M.B.A. at Boston College and his undergraduate degree at Lafayette College.
