Richard J. Markham Joins Care Capital LLC

PRINCETON, N.J., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Care Capital LLC, an investment firm focusing on later stage pharmaceutical and biotechnology enterprises, announced today that Richard J. Markham, former Vice Chair of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer of Aventis, has joined the firm as a Partner.

Mr. Markham joins an impressive team of partners at Care Capital including Jan Leschly, former CEO of SmithKlineBeecham, Jerry Karabelas, former CEO of Worldwide Pharmaceuticals at Novartis AG, and David Ramsay, former Managing Director of the Rhone Group, LLC and Member of the Investment Committee of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners. Mr. Markham has served as a Trustee of the Health Care Institute, as a Member of the Board of Directors for Pharmaceuticals Research and Manufacturers of America, and for Dade Behring, Inc. Mr. Markham is a graduate of the Purdue University School of Pharmacy and Pharmacal Sciences.
