Amgen’s First Quarter 2007 Revenue Increased 15 Percent to $3.7 Billion

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Amgen (NASDAQ:AMGN) reported adjusted earnings per share (EPS), excluding stock option expense and certain other expenses, of $1.08 for the first quarter of 2007, an increase of 19 percent compared to $0.91 during the first quarter of 2006. Adjusted net income, excluding stock option expense and certain other expenses, increased 15 percent to $1,270 million in the first quarter of 2007 compared to $1,101 million in the first quarter of 2006. Stock option expense on a per share basis totaled 3 cents and 4 cents in the first quarter of 2007 and 2006, respectively.
