BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Andrew J. Fuglevand, PhD, associate professor at The University of Arizona College of Medicine, has been named the winner of the Delsys Prize for 2006, the world’s only prize that recognizes invention and innovation in the field of electromyography. Electromyography is a medical technique used to evaluate and record muscle response to nervous stimulation. Dr. Fuglevand’s entry, titled, “Probability-Based Prediction of Electromyographic Activity in Multiple Muscles,” was chosen from a field of 112 entries, which underwent a rigorous evaluation process by a review panel of five experts from scientific, engineering and medical disciplines in academia and industry.
