NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 2005--MFIC Corporation ("MFIC") announced today that its operating subsidiary, Microfluidics Corporation, had appointed Thomas Hoarty as Vice President of Marketing and Sales Engineering. In this role, Mr. Hoarty reports to Bob Bruno, President and COO.

Tom brings to Microfluidics more than twenty years experience in the marketing and sales of capital equipment. He has a wealth of experience in both domestic and international sales, including the management of worldwide sales networks. Tom has also managed factory direct sales personnel along with independent reps, dealers and distributors.
Tom is a native New Englander and a graduate of Providence College. He resides in Burlington, Massachusetts with his wife and four children.
