The Most Powerful Women In Science And Health

Power can come from all kinds of industries and sectors, from politics and investing to media and even fashion. But one thing all the women on FORBES’ 12th list of 100 Most Powerful Women have in common is brainpower. Seven of those brainy women have roots in science and health, although they work in a number of areas, ranging from physics research to medical devices.

These women range in age from 31 (Elizabeth Holmes) to 71 (Judy Faulkner). Two of them are new to the list this year, while others have appeared on both this list and other FORBES lists in the past. Most importantly, they are running major research labs, redefining medical procedures and getting healthcare to those who most need it.
