The American Journal of Managed Care® Announces the Advancing Care Management Panel at the 2018 Patient-Centered Oncology Care® Meeting

CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The American Journal of Managed Care^®, the leading peer-reviewed journal dedicated to issues in managed care, is pleased to announce that Rose Gerber, director of patient advocacy and education for the Community Oncology Alliance (COA), will be the moderator for the “Advancing Care Management” panel at the 2018 Patient-Centered Oncology Care^® (PCOC) meeting. The event will take place Friday, Nov. 16 at the Sofitel Philadelphia Hotel.

Gerber developed COA’s national advocacy program—CPAN (Community Oncology Alliance Patient Advocacy Network)—and CPAN advocacy chapters across the U.S. CPAN chapters are based in community cancer clinics, where the majority of cancer patients are treated. Throughout her career, Gerber has appeared on MSNBC-TV to speak about cancer care access issues; met with legislators in Washington, D.C., to discuss cancer policy issues; and developed cancer programs. She has also been the featured cancer survivor in media campaigns of various cancer organizations and the keynote speaker at multiple national cancer conferences. Breast Cancer Wellness magazine recognized her as the National Breast Cancer Leader of the year in 2018. Gerber was a mother with young children when she received a diagnosis of breast cancer and continues to inspire others through her cancer advocacy work.
