Expecting to Reach 25,000 Cumulative Employee Volunteer Hours This Summer, Company Will Mark Milestone by Donating $25,000 to Support Education and Mental Health Initiatives
“Sunovion’s focus on building stronger communities is well aligned with our mission to make a difference in the lives of children, veterans, families and communities throughout New England by improving their health, educational and recreational opportunities,” said Bekah Salwasser, Executive Director, Red Sox Foundation. “Teaming up with Sunovion on core areas of focus allows us to make a greater positive impact together.”
Later this summer, Sunovion will expand its focus on building stronger communities by kicking off the seventh year of its Hands On! community service program, during which the Company expects to reach 25,000 cumulative employee volunteer hours since the program’s inception in 2012. On August 16, the Company will once again partner with the United Way of Tri-County in Massachusetts and Bergen Volunteer Center in New Jersey to support community projects where Sunovion operates. Hundreds of Sunovion employees will volunteer a full day to work on service projects in communities where they work and live.
“At Sunovion, we Take on Tomorrow because we care. Our employees work together to fulfill our vision to lead the way to a healthier world,” said Nobuhiko Tamura, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sunovion. “Sunovion is proud to work with partners that share our compassion for making a difference together.”
Through the Hands On! program and partnerships focused on community support, including Red Sox Foundation, Sunovion has contributed to projects focused on science and educational initiatives for youth, community relief efforts and health and medical needs. Sunovion has expanded its Hands On! program throughout the U.S., Canada and in the United Kingdom to give back in communities where Sunovion has employees and office locations.
