Based in Montreal, Stuart will bring his unique combination of medical technology expertise and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry to BCF and its clients. His role at BCF will include assisting clients with the pre-stage corporate development and structuring, funding, development and commercialization of medical technologies. Stuart’s arrival will allow BCF’s service offering to extend to medical technology companies in the BCF Imagine program. “We are thrilled to have Stuart on board. With over 15 years of experience in medical technologies, Stuart is an accomplished leader, engineer, and business development professional who leverages a strong foundation in medical research and product development. He is recognized for the ability to master complex science, engineering and medical applications in addition to his business and organizational development experience. Stuart’s expertise spans several clinical areas, including electrophysiology, structural heart, cardiovascular, endovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, orthopedics and surgical devices. Prior to joining BCF, Stuart worked for one of the world’s largest medical device companies, as well as one of Canada’s fastest-growing robotics companies as the Vice President of Medical Robotics. Most recently, Stuart has been appointed as Professor of Practice at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgery. Stuart currently represents the Quebec health ecosystem by sitting on three renowned committees as a member of the TransMedTech Institute’s Board of Governors, the CTS Santé’s Board of Directors, and the Industrial Advisory Board of Concordia University’s Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering.
