EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:SVNT) today reported financial results for the three months and year ended December 31, 2007. For the fourth quarter of 2007, the Company had a net loss of $16.6 million, or $0.31 per share, on total revenues of $1.9 million. For the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company had a net loss of $48.7 million, or $0.93 per share, on total revenues of $14.0 million. The Company ended the year with $142.4 million in cash and short-term investments.
