Doctor’s Guide -- SAN FRANCISCO -- October 7, 2010 -- Paediatricians and other primary care physicians are too slow to refer children with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) for appropriate specialist care, according to results of a national survey released here at the 2010 American Academy of Pediatrics Conference and Exhibition (AAP). Primary care practitioners are also largely unaware of the current endoscopic treatment modalities for VUR, the study found.
