BURNABY, British Columbia, Oct. 4 /CNW/ -- LifeScan Canada Ltd. announced
today that it will provide a OneTouch(R) Brand Blood Glucose Monitor at no
charge to individuals in Canada who monitor their blood glucose with a BD
Logic(R) Monitor and BD(TM) Test Strips from Becton, Dickinson and Company.
Purchase of OneTouch(R) Ultra(R) Test Strips is required to qualify for this
offer. Becton, Dickinson announced September 28 that it would exit the blood
glucose monitoring market. The company will discontinue distribution of BD
Logic Monitors immediately and, at the end of 2007, will stop distributing BD
Test Strips.
