Market Watch -- Landec Corporation, today reported results for the first nine months and third quarter of fiscal year 2009. Revenues for the first nine months of fiscal year 2009 increased 1.4% to $183.7 million compared to revenues of $181.2 million for the same period a year ago. Net income for the first nine months decreased to $5.9 million or $0.22 per diluted share compared to net income of $10.2 million or $0.38 per diluted share for the same period last year. For the third quarter of fiscal year 2009, revenues were $53.9 million versus revenues of $59.6 million in the year ago quarter. The Company reported net income for the third quarter of fiscal year 2009 of $1.5 million or $0.06 per diluted share compared to net income of $4.0 million or $0.15 per diluted share in the third quarter of the prior year.
