Health Discovery Corporation Files Patent Infringement Suits

SAVANNAH, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2006--Health Discovery Corporation (OTCBB: HDVY - News) announced today that it has filed patent infringement lawsuits against Ciphergen Biosystems, Inc. (“Ciphergen”) and Equbits LLC (“Equbits”) in the United States District Court in Marshall, Texas. HDC alleges that Ciphergen and Equbits have infringed three of its United States patents, covering various aspects of HDC’s Support Vector Machine technology. In the complaints, HDC seeks injunctive relief from further infringement, compensatory damages, enhanced damages, reasonable attorney’s fees, prejudgment interest, and other associated costs. HDC also announced that William F. Quirk, Jr., a member of the Company’s Board of Directors and its largest individual investor, intends to purchase shares of HDC common stock on the open market, possibly up to an additional $100,000, in support of HDC’s strategic direction.
