Fresenius Medical Care Achieves 5% Productivity Gain in Just 30 Days With Shoplogix(TM)

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 22, 2009) - Shoplogix, a developer of Real-time Performance Management (RPM) solutions for sustainable Continuous Improvement, is pleased to announce that Fresenius Medical Care, the world’s largest provider of dialysis services and products, increased productivity at its Ogden, Utah manufacturing facility by 5% in 30 days, with Shoplogix’s Plantnode® RPM solution. Building on this success, the company will implement the Plantnode solution throughout its dialyzer production lines at the Ogden plant.

The Ogden plant is committed to maintaining a world-class operation with a culture of aggressively measuring and improving upon Overall Equipment Effectiveness. In its continued efforts to further optimize plant performance, Fresenius selected Plantnode to automate its existing manual data collection efforts, improve data accuracy and increase productivity. The company leveraged the Shoplogix Sudden Impact program - a 30 day initiative - that demonstrates the capabilities of Plantnode. Under this program, Fresenius deployed four Plantnodes on a dialyzer production line, automating the collection, evaluation and display of machine data in real-time. The result was a 5% productivity gain, surpassing Fresenius’ initial goal of a 1% to 1.5% productivity improvement.
