Business Wire -- Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods today reported to the Connecticut State Division of Special Revenue that the property took in $62.2 million in slot machine gaming revenue, the best month of the fiscal year to date. The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, the casino’s owner, also reported a $15.6 million payment to the State of Connecticut for May of 2009. This contribution increases the total dollar amount given to the State of Connecticut to more than $2.8 billion since January of 1993, when slot machines were first introduced at Foxwoods.
