San Francisco, Calif. (December 18, 2008) - Fluxion Biosciences announced today an exclusive distribution agreement with IUL Instruments GmbH. IUL, based in Königswinter, Germany, will handle sales and service in Germany and Austria of Fluxion’s BioFlux research tools for live cell image analysis in drug discovery.
IUL Instruments GmbH, founded in 1991, is a leading provider of scientific products to life science customers. IUL specializes in microbiology, cell biology and biotechnology applications. With a staff of more than 30 including product specialists who hold advanced scientific degrees, the company excels at understanding customer needs. IUL also offers after-sales support, training, technical service and maintenance inspections.

The Fluxion BioFlux 200 system is ideal for live cell imaging in applications such as cell adhesion and microbial biofilm studies. BioFlux 200 incorporates Fluxion’s proprietary microfluidic design to deliver an automated, reproducible system for studying live cells and biofilms under controlled-shear conditions. The system simulates in vivo physiological conditions more closely and at higher throughput than other approaches.
