Florida International University Grant for Nanotech Could Turn Shirt Into a Computer

What triggered that stress attack? Try asking your shirt because it knows exactly when your body released stress-related hormones. That’s one of the nanotechnologies being developed at Florida International University as part of a new federal grant. FIU is sharing 10 percent of an $18.5 million, five-year award with North Carolina State University, Pennsylvania State University and the University of Virginia. The money came from the National Science Foundation and is only the second such nanotech research consortium funded by NSF.
