FDA Expands Telmisartan Indications

MedPage Today -- The FDA has expanded the indication for the antihypertension drug telmisartan (Micardis), making it the first angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) approved for primary prevention in high-risk patients unable to take an ACE inhibitor.
