The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) welcomes Nadim Z. Baba, DMD, MSD, FACP, as the organization’s new president.
CHICAGO /PRNewswire/ -- The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) welcomes Nadim Z. Baba, DMD, MSD, FACP, as the organization's new president. Dr. Baba was sworn in for his one-year term at the 48th Annual Session of the ACP held in Baltimore, Oct. 31-Nov. 3. "It is a great honor to serve and be part of the ACP," said Dr. Baba. "I believe the strength of the College comes from the diversity, knowledge, and passion of the individual members, and their collective dedication to furthering the specialty." Within the ACP, Dr. Baba is a Fellow and has led many initiatives, most recently editing the Transforming Lives coffee table book published by the College. Dr. Baba has also held the positions of Pacific Region Director, President of the California Section, and Vice-Chair of the ACPEF Annual Appeal Committee, which helped start a course on 'Transitioning into Private Practice' for ACP members. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. Baba is a prolific author and speaker on topics related to fixed and removable prosthetics and implants. He is part of the editorial process for multiple industry journals, including the ACP's official publication the Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Baba serves as a professor in the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, and maintains a part-time private practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Glendale, California. A native of Lebanon, Dr. Baba received his DMD degree from the University of Montréal in Canada. He completed a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics and a master's degree in Restorative Sciences in Prosthodontics from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
