(OTCBB:CYGX - News) has received allowance for the patent application No. 00815856.8 entitled "Altering Gene Expression with ssDNA Produced In Vivo" from the Chinese Patent Office. Filed in 2000, this patent covers the company's single strand DNA expression system which is covered by a US patent and by other applications in major world markets. The patented technology is used in several of the company's products including Simplivir(TM) (CY301) and CY303 and has recently been shown to be active in reducing melanoma tumors in an experimental animal model.
