BRISBANE, Calif., March 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cutera, Inc.(R) , a leading provider of laser and other light-based aesthetic systems for practitioners worldwide, announced the industry debut of its recently introduced Titan(TM) V and Titan XL, designed to complement the widely used Titan non-invasive procedure. The new designs will be showcased at the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting, March 3 - 7, 2006 in San Francisco (Booth #1215). These are two of several company offerings to be discussed on podium by leading physicians throughout the meeting.
The new handpieces are designed to improve the efficiencies of the Titan procedure. The Titan V has a treatment tip that extends beyond the handpiece housing to provide enhanced visibility of the skin's surface. The Titan XL not only extends beyond the housing for improved visibility, but also has a treatment spot size that is twice as large as the Titan V's. With a larger spot size, clinicians can perform procedures twice as fast and treat larger body areas.
Titan is the first light-based system to target the dermis and provide uniform, sustained heating to the deep layers of the skin, while simultaneously cooling the epidermis, thus protecting the skin.
Luminary physicians are scheduled to discuss Cutera's systems and platforms - including the Titan procedure, the ProWave 770 handpiece for hair reduction, and the multi-application Xeo platform offering a spectrum of light-based solutions -- throughout the AAD meeting. Highlights include:
