London, UK. September 2014 - Vision RT, the developer of world-leading motion management solutions for the radiotherapy market, has today published the video proceedings of its first User Meeting, held on 8-9 May 2014. The proceedings are available to view at www.visionrt.com/event/user_meeting_2014.
The event showcased AlignRT®, GateCT® and GateRT®, products which are defining the standard of care in motion management in radiotherapy.
Over 70 clinical experts attended the User Meeting, which took place in San Diego, California, to share their experiences and learn the best practices for using Vision RT’s products. The meeting consisted of a series of workshops and presentations where customers discussed their clinical use for radiation therapy being delivered to a variety of treatment sites.
Topics that were presented included: the clinical implementation of Deep Inspiration Breath Hold, with perspectives from therapists and results from studies involving the technique; and how AlignRT® benefits SRS treatments: its use at UCSD, the workflow for a therapist, and how to best create an open mask for a patient.
Customers shared gratitude at being given the opportunity to unite with others who are confident with the system, as well as learn about effective clinical practices across the world. The vast majority agreed that the talks were useful and informative, and would all attend another User Meeting, as well as recommend it to all Vision RT customers.
Lynsey Rice, Research and Development Lead Radiotherapist at The Harley Street Clinic in London, said: ‘The User Meeting was a great opportunity to meet others who use the system and learn about their best clinical practices for Vision RT. Each talk was focused and informative – all in all it was a superb opportunity and I look forward to many more meetings in the future.’
Dr Norman Smith, President and CEO of Vision RT Ltd, said:
‘The overwhelming positive feedback we have received from clinical experts at our User Meeting is a clear reflection of how our products are being embraced throughout the radiation community into increasingly routine clinical practice.’
Vision RT intends to host regular meetings in future following the great success of this first conference.
