CURE Media Group, the industry-leading multimedia platform devoted to cancer updates and research that reaches over 1 million patients, will host several patient-focused sessions on breast cancer Saturday, March 7, at Fontainebleau Miami Beach in Florida during the Physicians’ Education Resource® 36th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference®.
“We are so honored to be able to make a direct impact on the lives of breast cancer patients by hosting our second patient-focused summit held in tandem with the Miami Breast Cancer Conference®,” said Mike Hennessy Jr., president and CEO of MJH Life Sciences™, parent company of CURE® magazine. “This summit is an amazing opportunity to bring together experts in breast cancer care, patients, caregivers, survivors and advocates all together in one room to network, collaborate and discuss the best ways to navigate the journey of living with breast cancer.
This one-day breast cancer program will represent all stages of disease and demographics of patients with breast cancer, as well as their caregivers and advocates. During the summit, Stephanie Seban, a nine-year metastatic breast cancer thriver, blogger and wellness advocate, will give a keynote address about the important of advocating for oneself, as well as the role a multidisciplinary team can play in one’s treatment journey.
Despite a misdiagnosis and her ongoing journey with metastatic breast cancer, Seban finds joy and purpose in inspiring others by sharing her experiences and has become involved in multiple philanthropic works and projects. She has made it her life’s mission and purpose to advocate for other young women by providing hope and thriving by example. She is co-authoring a book, “The Thrivers Guide,” to share her knowledge and experiences living with metastatic breast cancer and co-found of the Thrive Gang.
CURE® is partnering with METAvivor, Susan G. Komen Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Susan G. Komen Florida and Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation to present CURE®'s Educated Patient Summit on breast cancer.
