Melbourne, Feb 18, 2009 (ABN Newswire) - Biota Holdings Limited (ASX:BTA)(PINK:BTAHY) today reported NPAT of A$7.2 million for the first half ended December 2008, up 31 percent from the previous corresponding period. Excluding the A$20 million GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) litigation settlement, the underlying business booked a net loss of A$12.8 million for the half versus net profit of A$5.5 million previously.
