Theranos Inc. wants more than the finger; it’s going for the whole range of blood tests.
The upstart Palo Alto company has added a full-blown reference lab, founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes said, meaning it now can offer more-specialized tests, such as genetic tests. Those tests typically are priced higher and have a higher profit margin today.
